Sweet and Sour Prawns in minutes

This dish is again one of the quickest and easiest to make. Sweet and tangy to taste.

Ingredients:

Prawns deveined a bowl full, garlic chopped 1 tasp, finely chopped onion 1, chilli sauce 2 to 3 tsp,  tomato puree 2 – 3 tabsp, tomato ketchup 1 tabsp, salt to taste, oil 2 to 3 tsp, and vinegar 1 tabsp. Cornstarch 1 tsp.

Method:

Heat oil in a wok, sauté garlic and onion for 2 minutes, add prawns, puree, ketchup, chilli sauce and salt. Cover it and cook the prawns. Once the prawns are cooked, add the cornstarch dissolved in a tabsp of water. It will soon thicken. Just before serving add vinegar. Serve hot with rice.

This chutney is one of the quickest and simplest accompaniment. Can be stored for months. Just sprinkle on whatever you want and enjoy. I personally enjoy with Bakri – pearl millet flat bread. Yum earthy taste is addictive.
