Chicken in orange sauce!!!

This ones my daughters favorite dish, never use to let her eat much when she was a kiddo due to the chili which goes in it. A protective mother as always….made this dish today especially for her to celebrate her exam free….study free days.

Ingredients:

Boneless Chicken cubed 500 grms, chopped onions 3 medium, garlic chopped 2 tabsp, soy sauce 4 tabsp, lemon juice 2 tabsp, chilli paste 4 tabsp, orange juice 500 ml, oil 7 to 8 tabsp, salt to taste, brown sugar 4 tabsp , cornstarch mixed in 1/2 cup water 3 tsp and chopped spring onions for garnish.

Method:

Heat oil in a wok and saute garlic and onions. now add the chicken and stir fry for 5 mins. Add the lemon and orange juice, the soy sauce and chili paste. Keep on stirring, now add sugar and salt and let the chicken cook till tender. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch and garnish with spring onions. Serve hot with garlic rice. Njoy the spicy n tangy chicken.

Anarkali Chicken !!!

Anar is the pomegranate. This chicken is made in pomegranate juice and loads of dried pomegranate is used for the sweet and tangy curry.

Ingredients:

Chicken legs 1 kg, fried onions 1 cup, tomato puree 1 cup, pomegranate juice 1 cup. Turmeric 1 tsp, Red chilli powder 3 tsp and coriander powder 2 tsp and sugar 2 tsp. Oil 4 tabsp and salt to taste. Dried pomegranate 2 tabsp. Coconut milk powder 2 tsp. Ginger paste 2 tsp. White unsalted butter mint and coriander leaves for garnish.

Method:

Heat oil in a wok and saute onions, tomato puree with the rest of the ingredients (except chicken and the juice) till the oil oozes out. It takes around 5 mins. Now add the chicken and the juice and lid on till tender. Garnish with butter, mint leaves n coriander leaves. Serve hot with parathas.
